Alexander Technique Lessons

The Alexander Technique is a mind-body technique that can be applied to literally everything we do... except for sleeping. Sorry, we can't work on that one.

Through a unique verbal / hands-on process, we’ll explore how to bring more freedom, ease, and refinement to your life. This can include but is not limited to: how you go about your work, physical skills, recreational activities, and the parts of life we have on automatic.

I teach via the Interactive Teaching Method, which emphasizes the importance of thinking when examining how we're moving and behaving.

ITM Alexander Technique lessons are student-led and teacher-directed. We work on what interests you and each lesson is focused on learning through doing.

Sliding scale options are available for BIPOC, artists, and people with chronic illness. I’m committed to making lessons accessible — if cost is a concern, please reach out so we can find a solution together

Testimonials

"Sarah helped me integrate ITM skills into my existing performance practices, particularly my singing and audition prep. If you're a performer who suffers from chronic pain or nervous tension, ITM will be an indispensable addition to your toolkit.

Working with Sarah brought me back into a more mindful relationship with my body. As a performer with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, I've often had to teach my teachers how to work with my body. It was refreshing to work with someone like Sarah, who has an innate understanding of how to work with hypermobile bodies and experiences the same quirks and challenges in her own system."
